John E. Suthers was born in Augusta, Georgia, in 1957. He is the founder and managing partner of the Suthers Law Firm, which devotes its practice to litigation and trial of substantial civil damage suits. Mr. Suthers received his undergraduate degree with honors from the University of South Carolina and his law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law.

He is licensed to practice law in Georgia and South Carolina, and has extensive experience in nursing home litigation, cases involving medical malpractice, serious personal injuries and wrongful deaths, defective products, business and contract disputes, and railroad litigation, including Federal Employer's Liability Act claims. He has also served as trial counsel in  mass tort litigation and class actions.

Mr. Suthers is an AV rated attorney by Martindale-Hubbell, a respected legal publication. This rating was the result of extensive, confidential reviews conducted by Martindale-Hubbell among the legal professionals in this community. According to Martindale-Hubbell, the AV rating signifies that Mr. Suthers' legal ability is of the very highest standard and that his professional ethics are unquestioned.

In addition to serving as trial counsel in cases pending throughout the States of Georgia and South Carolina, Mr. Suthers has assisted other lawyers and law firms in cases that were pending in Florida, Alabama, Tennessee, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia and Texas. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Georgia, the South Carolina Bar, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, and the South Carolina Trial Lawyers Association, among other professional organizations.
